SESSION 3 DIVISIONS
- Each session is 14 weeks
- Each division has a designated format and night of play
- San Antonio teams are double-play: 8-ball division and 10-ball division
- Each division has a league or division representative
- Top 2 teams of each division advance to Grand Finals Qualifier based on team standing by points
- One wild-card pick across all session 3 teams advances to Grand Finals Qualifier
- No play-offs in Session 2 and Session 3
TOP SHOOTERS: SINGLES
- Per session: top shooter per Class receives a free entry to national Singles Grand Finals
GRAND FINALS QUALIFIER
- Players need 4 matches to be considered "active" for a session
- Players need 10 matches to play in GFQ and/or Nationals
- Teams must have 5 original roster players, stay active, and remain in top 50% of division
- Grand Finals Qualifier held for each division:
- 10-Ball GFQ: August 29, 2026 at Fast Eddie's Braun
- 8-Ball GFQ: September 5, 2026 at Fast Eddie's Braun
- GFQ team winner receives a free entry to national Grand Finals, Jam Up jerseys, and travel fund by division:
- 8-Ball GFQ Team: $8,000 travel fund
- 10-Ball GFQ Team: TBD travel fund
- TBD: Top 25% Finishing Teams are eligible for travel funds towards Grand Finals entry and travel
GRAND FINALS
- National Grand Finals: November 2nd–7th, 2026 at Harrahs Cherokee Resort, North Carolina
- Guaranteed prize payouts: 8-Ball team: $100,000+ & 10-Ball team: min $25,000+
- League events include team and singles by class formats
- Open Events available to all players (e.g.: non-league): Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Open Singles, and Women's Open Singles
- Discounted Room Rates available shortly
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION
- $32 annual membership fee required for league play
- Membership must be paid by the 4th week of play
- Membership is valid for 1 year from date of purchase
- Subscribed players are eligible for all league region divisions, format, and singles events
- Membership can be paid via league app or sent to the league operator
LEAGUE DUES
- Double-play teams: $40 weekly league dues per division (8-ball / 10-ball)
- Single-play teams: $50 weekly league dues

GAME FORMAT
- Each match: 30-minute match clock, 30-second shot clock, one 30-second player extension per rack
- Match clock: starts on break, stops on game-end, pauses when shot is unavailable for play
- Shot clock: resets when all balls have come to rest
TEAM ROSTER AND LINE-UP
- 8 players to roster, 5 play each night
- Roster changes allowed until Week 4
- Player UPScore rating is established from existing rating systems, adjusts based on UPL match performance
- Team must play at least 1 player 450 & below UPL score
- A team can play maximum 2 players 600 & up, limited to only (1) 700+ player
- Handicaps apply to higher-rated player's starting score: -1 for every 40/40/40/60 points and capped based on rating
LEAGUE NIGHT
- 15-min grace period; need 2 players to start weekly match
- Captains log into league app on mobile device to manage score and timekeeping
- Match scoreboard and time displayed on tablet (use mobile app to cast)
- Captains coin flip – winner decides which team puts up first
- First captain put-up locks player selection; incoming captain locks their counter-pick in the mobile app
- Match winner's team puts up next
- Double-play allowed for match 4 and/or 5 only; opponent team chooses put-up
COACHING
- Talking is allowed in between racks only
- Coaching: 450 & Below player or coach may request coaching during their extension per rack — must be used
- Ball-in-Hand Foul: coaching request for 451+ player or when no extension is available
- Calling time: communicating remaining time left is allowed; timekeeper calls time fouls
- Calling fouls: only match players call table fouls; outside interference nullifies foul for opposite team
SCORING
- Match winner: 5 pts + 1 pt for every rack won after starting handicap
- Match loser: 1 pt for every rack won after starting handicap
- Match tie: final score for each team
- Match forfeits: 15 pts (team forfeit: 50 pts)
MATCH GUIDELINES (8-BALL & 10-BALL FORMAT)
- Break: Lag winner decides first breaker
- Rack your own, alternate break
- Rack: Key ball on spot
- 3-point rule for legal break, else re-rack (incoming player chooses breaker)
- Re-spot key ball on break and continue turn
- All ball fouls
- Frozen cue ball to object: must shoot away, else foul (initial contact is met for on ball)
- Loss of rack: intentional failure to hit own ball including pocketing cue ball, time expiration, or hitting opponent or not-on ball
- No jump shots
INTERNATIONAL 8-BALL RULES FORMAT
- Table is open after break
- Scratch on break: cue ball in kitchen
- Cue ball off table on break: BIH anywhere
- No-call shots (except when unclear at Opening)
- Same-suit combos only on open table
- Balls driven off table: re-spot
- Rack follows pattern
ULTIMATE POOL LEAGUE 10-BALL RULES FORMAT
- Push-out shot available
- 3-Foul Rule in effect: must notify opponent on 2nd consecutive foul
- Early 10 requires re-spot
- Player Option available for when only object ball(s) pocketed was not called
