Excited to announce that the New League of UP -Watertown, WI will be starting with Session 3 on April 27th with a 7 Week Session.  Welcome new players and teams!

LEAGUE NIGHT FLOW:

  •  3 players from each team need to be present to start first match
  • 15 minute grace period to start first match - after 15 minutes team forfeits
  • Teams flip a coin to determine which team will select first player or defer to other team to select first player
  • Team Captains alternate Scoring & Time keeper for each 30 minute match. 
  • Tablets recommended for clock display and scoring using mobile device, time keeper announces 10 seconds, and Counts down from 5 seconds loud enough for player to hear, Time elapsing foul is called by Time keeper, if player is stroking for shot and time elaspes, it is not a foul.
  • Players lag to decide who breaks first
  • Alternate breaks, and players rack your own
  • After each match, the winning team decides whom puts up next player

MATCH RESTRICTIONS:

  1. Teams must have at least 1 player rated at or below 450 UPL Score
  2. Teams can play maximum of 2 players rated 600+ , only 1 of those players can be 700+
  3. 30 Minute Match Clock + 30 Second Shot Clock
  4. 1 Extension (30 Seconds) per rack. Requested verbally by player for time keeper to press Extension clock with 30 seconds added to shot clock

COACHING:

  1. No Coaching is allowed for players above 450 UPL Score, talking is allowed in between racks but must not slow down the rack process.
  2. Player rated 450 and below is allowed a coach during the 30 second extension, but must shoot before extension time expires.
  3. Communicating the remaining time on the clock is permitted as long it does not assist the player physically.

THE BREAK:

  • The (8) Ball is place on the spot, following the pattern per rules, and Rack your own
  • Follow the 3 point rule for legal break
    • 1 pt for every ball made
    • 1 pt for every ball that crosses halfway mark on table
    • Any combination of each that totals 3 points is legal break
  • If not legal break - Opponent gets option to break or give back
  • Cannot win or lose on break, 8 ball gets spotted if falls down on break
  • Table is always open after break
  • All fouls count for ball in hand

SCORING:

  1. Match Winner: 1 point for every rack won after overcoming initial handicap deficit, plus additional 5 points for match win
    1. No additional 5 pts if winning player score is (0).
    2. Match Loser: 1 point for every rack won after overcoming initial handicap deficit.
    3. Match Tie: Teams receive the final score in points with both getting 5 additional points for Team.
    4. Match forfeits: Individual forfeit: 8 pts, Team Forfeit: 25 pts, Team Byes: 20 pts.
