Ali thanked everyone for coming.
Minutes from previous AGM checked and correct.
Treasurers Report: Neil explained that due to Jamie stepping down there were some issues with the accounts but now back on track.
Treasurers report given out for everyone to look at. Profit for summer £200. Profit for winter £380. Balance on account £888.06 after all monies paid.
Will be pushing sponsorship to replace trophies.
Next year is the 50th anniversary of the league so a discussion to be had to replace all perpetual trophies.
Election of Officers and Committee
Chairman: Ali – Liam 1st/Fordy 2nd
Secretary: Karen standing down. Anna – Oli 1st/Chris 2nd
Treasurer: Neil took over after Jamie stepped down. Will stay on. Oli 1st/Dave 2nd
Vice-Chairman: Neil stepping down. Liam – Oli 1st/Mark 2nd
Competitions Secretary: Rik. Derec 1st/Trev 2nd
Fixtures Secretary: Magnus – unanimous
Committee Members
Toni, Dave and Sam stepping down. Graca, Kyle and Darren staying on.

Proposals
1. League Structure – Division format – to have one division or two? Committee will make a decision dependent on the number of teams who enter.
2. One Thursday/Sunday League (9 month) Season – to stay with the same summer/winter format or switch to new format. Unanimously voted to stay as is.
3. Team Sizes – Whether to reduce the team sizes from 5 to 4. For 10 – Against 15.
Stays at 5 per team.
4. Match Format – to go back to facing one person per game or stay with the new system of facing multiple opponents. Revert – N/A Stick – 20+. Stays with current system
5. 15 Frame proposal – Stay with the current 20 frame system or go to 15 frames. For 18 – Against 14. Stays at 20 Frames
6. New Scoring System – stick to the system where ‘every frame counts’ or go to a points system where an overall win is 3 points and a draw is 1 point. New way, 19 – old system 9. New scoring system implemented.
7. Coaching/Officiating – Have a nominated referee for each frame. For 2 – Against, everyone else.
8. Shot Clock – Stick to the current system or go to the International Rules. Stick, 1 – Change 17.International Rules over stopwatch timings implemented
9. Competitions – Under 21s Singles – To introduce a competition for players under the age of 21 to encourage future players into the game. Unanimous.
10. Competition Nights – Have fixed dates for competitions – For, 2 – Against, Everyone else.
11. Competition Eligibility – In the Open Singles competition, should a player have to have played 1 game or 2 in the first half of the season to qualify? One, 15 – Two, 5 – Player Only needs to have played once.
12. Registration – Who is responsible for paying team entry. Proposal retracted. Reminder of Constitution to be issued.
13. Competition fee increase – Should the fees for competitions be increased from £3 Singles to £5, £4 Pairs to £5 and £6 to £9? Yes, 24 – No, N/A Fee increase introduced
14. Champion of Champions – Does the Bideford League enter teams into the Champion of Champions competition? First team to be selected by Andy Coles – from all league and competition winners, second team to be determined by trials ALL can enter?Unanimous. Teams will be entered
15. Administrative – Cancellations – Should games not be allowed to be cancelled, only moved forward? Unanimously against. Not voted in.
16. Proposal submission – Allow for proposals to be submitted on social media as well as in writing via email. Unanimous Proposals can be submitted via FB etc as well as email
